Funky atmosphere, bumpin' playlist, and twerk breaks--The Boombox is not your average studio. We believe in the power of play. We take training seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. Our studio is designed to transport you from our cold, hectic, busy city to a space filled with warmth and community. We like to do things a bit different than what you're used to. With every body being different, why train the same? Our workouts are designed to burn fat and build muscle, but are easily modified to fit your needs.
How we do things:
We train in a team of six. Our small class setting allows us to personalize your workouts and give you the attention needed to reach your goals safely, effectively and efficiently. Every student has a dedicated "box" or station. Upon arrival, your box will be set up with the proper weights and bands for your fitness level. The entire class is taken through the same exercises unless otherwise noted at your box. We train with various pieces of equipment (i.e. kettlebells, powerblocks, TRX, medicine balls, resistance bands, slide discs, and jumpropes) and incorporate different training styles to keep the body guessing and boost metabolism. The Boombox experience is unlike anything else. We don't hit repeat--no workout will ever be the same.
For your first visit, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes early so we can get to know you and your body a bit better. Our assessment will help us modify your workout to fit your needs and goals. Workout attire and athletic shoes are required.
Before and after:
We welcome clients to warm-up and cool-down 15 minutes before and after class in our stretching area. Foam rollers and meditation cushions are available for use. Feel free to change in our restroom or changing area. Lockers are available to store personal items while in class.
